Fume Fighter is a "wack-a-mole" style game. Your mission
is to click on, or fight the bad guys and ensure the safety
of the good guys. The bad guys are things that are causing damage
to our air every minute. The characters you click on, the bad guys,
are a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), NOx, SOx, Methane, and Particulate
Matter. One of the good guys is Asthma Ed driving his electric car,
as always, trying to avoid pollution. The other good guy isn't even
a person, it's a bike. The bike is probably the best means of transportation
when you're conscious of the environment.
In the game, you should hit me.
"I'm Sox, one of the baddest boys on the pollution block! You can plan on running into me anywhere coal and oil are burning. Perhaps you've heard of my crew? We're the acid rain runners! We take great pride in the damage we cause to trees, lakes and stone
used in buildings, statues and monuments. Get too close to me, and I will permanently damage your lungs. So, back off and let me make my mark on your block!"
In the game, you should hit me.
"Yo, I'm Nox, and I hang with Sox! Take a deep breath - that's me burning all the way down, baby. Like the rest of the acid rain runners, I can be found near power plants and your car. So flip on all the lights, open the fridge door, turn on the TV, computer, radio, and everything else you can plug in, and let's party!"
In the game, you should hit me.
I'm Gassy and I'm tired of people making fun of me. I can heat up this planet twenty times faster than Carbon Dioxide, but that dumb molecule gets all the credit for global warming just because there's more of it. So what if a lot of my family came from the digestive tracts of cows? Many of us came from more noble origins like landfills and natural gas combustion. Laugh all you want - we'll have the last word when your planet is flooded by melting polar ice caps. Oh, and one more thing - despite our origins, we're all odorless, so stop the jokes already!
In the game, you should hit me.
"I'm Guzzaleigh, the SUV! I'm a hot little number that drives up the heat on global warming with all the carbon dioxide I emit! If you think you can hang with me, you better have a gas station in your back pocket to feed this gas Guzzaleigh!"
In the game, you should hit me.
"Hey, my name is Hazy. What, you can't see me? It's all blurry? Ha! That's the point! Tourists hate me, because I make it hard for them to see all the pretty sights. I have a very complex personality, made up of diesel smoke, soot from fires, and every other byproduct of combustion. Most of the time I make you cough, but breathe in too much and my meaner side will harden your lung tissue or even give you cancer."
In the game, you should NOT hit me.
"If you are looking for an environmentally friendly and cheap way to drive, then I'm your girl! My name is Red and I am an electric car! I might be a little different from other cars, but that is to your advantage. I provide speed, independence, and comfort, as well as less noise and reduced emissions, plus, I save fossil fuels! So, charge me up and away we will go!"
In the game, you should NOT hit me. Hitting the bicycle will make you lose all of your points.
"Bernie is my name and biking is my game! I am the healthiest and most fun way to get from point B back to point A! Some say I am the best stress reliever they have ever experienced! I have a low impact on the body and the environment. What more could one ask for? Stick with me and you can kiss that traffic report goodbye!"
