The Making Of

May 8, 2001 - Flight of the Sparrows
We spend the day videotaping at Corbin Motors. It is the home of a tiny, awesome personal electric vehicle called the Sparrow.

Every morning the crew meets in the lobby, and we head off to breakfast. Today we ate in the hotel's restaurant. As usual, the food was great! After finishing our breakfast, we headed off to our next destination, Corbin Motors. Corbin Motors had the Sparrows, little electric cars, that we needed for our video.

A Sparrow is a one-person electric vehicle that can go on any street - even the freeway.

Sparrows aren't very big!

Pamela Denner was our Corbin Motors connection. She led us on a tour of the factory and then she stayed with us all day to make sure we had what we needed.

A row of Sparrow shells sits in the sun, waiting for further assembly.

We spent most of the day at Corbin Motors. We set up the equipment and began to roll in the middle of the sweltering heat. The heat reached a record high for the area!

Kevin, the audio guy, and Julius, the camera guy, roll close-ups. Mr. Holmes, JMHS teacher, shoots some video for the class project - a documentary of "The Making of Easy Breathers."
