Your first car, or the one you want: why it's important to you
New vehicle technologies - What are they? How do they work? What's cool? What's not?
Public transportation - what's working? What isn't? Why? (in your opinion)
Global transportation: a story on transportation in a country outside the US, especially one you've visited
A clean air experience you remember (like hiking up a mountain)
A dirty air experience you remember
Do you have a problem with how adults view young people and their cars?
Anything else that's directly related to air pollution and transportation
All submissions should be your original work.
Length: no more than about 1000 words (about 4 typed, double-spaced pages). A good average is 400-600 words, but shorter submissions are welcome.
Writing styles: poetry, essays, 'open letters', interviews, reports, articles, and short stories are all welcome.
Photographs, paintings, and all other works of art that are relevant to the topic are also welcome. We suggest photographing original artwork and sending the photo via email or snail mail.
Submissions containing profanity will be rejected.
Fine print: By submitting your data to the Wisconsin DNR, you authorize us to post your data and to reprint it entirely or in part in other related WDNR publications. You retain copyright privileges for all submissions. WDNR does not sell publications for profit, so we won't make money off your work, nor will we be sending you any royalties.

Format:
Include your NAME, AGE, SCHOOL NAME, CITY, STATE, and COUNTRY with your submission.
Submissions should be typed (preferred) or clearly printed.
We cannot return your submission to you, so please make a copy before you send it. If you are sending a photograph, however, and MUST have the original back, call 608/264-9258 for instructions.
Photographs: protect them from getting mangled by putting a piece of cardboard inside the envelope, if possible. Also, write "Please do not bend" on the outside.
